Summary
When I add a condition to a Multiple Condition AgilePart, an error occurs.
Details
When I add a condition to a Multiple Condition AgilePart, the following error occurs: "System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x86DB0904): Object name not found."
This occurs rarely, when the Document stencil drops the Contained Rule condition from its shapes within the context of a process model. The cause is not known.
To fix this issue:
- In Visio, open your process model where the issue is occurring.
- To open
Document stencil, click
File > Shapes > Open Document Stencil.
- Create a new
Generic process model.
- In the new process model, click
File > Shapes > Open Document Stencil to open the Document stencil in that file.
- Click the
Restore button, so that both process models appear side-by-side in the Visio window.
- Drag the
Contained Rule shape from the Document stencil in the new process model to the one Document stencil to your process model.
- Save your process model.
- In your process model, add a new condition to a
Multiple Condition AgilePart. Verify that an error does not occur.
