(Example) Configure Rules for the Sequential Approval eForm

To configure rules on the Approvers section in the Approvers eForm for sequential approval, do the procedure in this topic.

Procedure

  1. On the Approvers eForm, in the Approvers check box form control, click Rules .


  2. On the Rule Builder - Approvers screen, in the Field section, drag Approvers to When section.


  3. On the Approvers field, in the Comparer field, select the is equal to operator.
  4. In the Rule Value field, select Manager.
  5. In the Actions section, drag Show Control to Then section.
  6. On the Show Control field, in the Rule Value field, select Manager Approval.
  7. Click Add Rule.
  8. In the Field section, drag Approvers to When section.


  9. On the Approvers field, in the Comparer field, select the is equal to operator.
  10. In the Rule Value field, select HR Manager.
  11. In the Actions section, drag Show Control to Then section.
  12. On the Show Control field, in the Rule Value field, select HR Manager Approval.
  13. Click Add Rule.
  14. In the Field section, drag Approvers to When section.


  15. On the Approvers field, in the Comparer field, select the is equal to operator.
  16. In the Rule Value field, select Director.
  17. In the Actions section, drag Show Control to Then section.
  18. On the Show Control field, in the Rule Value field, select Director Approval.
  19. Click Add Rule.
  20. In the Field section, drag Approvers to When section.


  21. On the Approvers field, in the Comparer field, select the is equal to operator.
  22. In the Rule field, enter Manager, HR Manager, and Director separated by semicolon.
  23. In the Actions section, drag Show Control to Then section.
  24. On the Show Control field, in the Rule Value field, select Manager Approval.
