How to Start

  1. On the Application Explorer screen, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Salesforce Salesforce icon tab.
      2. On the Salesforce Salesforce icon tab, drag the Create Multiple Entities Create Multiple Entities icon activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. On the Create Multiple Entity Configuration screen, click Create Multiple Entity Create Multiple Entity icon.

Procedure

  1. On the Create Multiple Entity Configuration screen, in the Salesforce field, select your Salesforce access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token Add Token icon. For more information, refer to Access Token for Salesforce.

  2. In the Entity Name list, select your entity.
  3. To connect the request data from your schema to the source system, complete this field as necessary:

    Request Mapping

    Function:
    Connects the Salesforce API request parameter to your schema. This is mandatory only if the request passes data from the process schema to parameters in the Salesforce API.
    To Open this Field:
    1. On the Create Multiple Entity Configuration screen, click the Request tab.
    Accepted Values:
    Click the Schema Mapping Schema Mapping icon button to open the Schema Mapper.

    Use this screen to connect the request to the data model for your process.

    Default Value:
    None
  4. To connect response data from the web service call to your process, do one of these.
    • To connect the response to your process schema, complete this field as necessary:

      Map Response to AgilePoint Schema

      Function:
      Specifies the connection from the Salesforce API response parameter to your schema.
      To Open this Field:
      1. On the Create Multiple Entity Configuration screen, click the Response tab.
      Accepted Values:
      Click the Schema Mapping Schema Mapping icon button to open the Schema Mapper.

      Use this screen to connect the response to the data model for your process.

      Default Value:
      None
    • To connect the response to a process data variable, complete this field as necessary:

      Store the Response in Custom Attribute

      Function:
      Specifies a process data variable that contains more than one entity record ID from Salesforce.
      To Open this Field:
      1. On the Create Multiple Entity Configuration screen, click the Response tab.
      Accepted Values:
      A process data variable that represents more than one entity record ID, separated by semi-colons (;).
      Default Value:
      None
      Accepts Process Data Variables:
      Yes
  5. To change the owner for the entity, complete this field as necessary:

    Function:
    Specifies the owner of the entity.
    To Open this Field:
    1. Click the Record Ownership tab.
