How to Start

  1. On the Application Explorer screen, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the NetSuite NetSuite icon tab.
      2. On the NetSuite NetSuite icon tab, drag the Create Record Create Record icon activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. Click Create Record Create Record icon.

Procedure

  1. On the NetSuite Create Record Configuration screen, in the NetSuite field, select your NetSuite access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token Add Token icon. For more information, refer to Access Token for NetSuite.

  2. Do one of these:
    • To create a record for standard NetSuite entity, do this procedure.
      1. Select Entities.
      2. In the Entity Name list, select the name of entity for which to create a record.
    • To create a record for a custom record type, do this procedure.
      1. Select Custom Record Types.
      2. In the Record Type list, select the name of a custom record type for which to create a record.
      3. Complete this field.
        Field Name Definition

        Record Display Name

        Function:
        The name of the primary column for your record.
        To Open this Field:
        1. On the NetSuite Create Record Configuration screen, click Custom Record Types.
        Accepted Values:
        One line of text that can have spaces.
        Default Value:
        None
  3. Click the Request tab.
  4. To connect the request data from your schema to the source system, complete this field as necessary:.

    Request Mapping

    Function:
    Connects the NetSuite API request parameter to your schema. This is mandatory only if the request passes data from the process schema to parameters in the NetSuite API.
    To Open this Field:
    1. On the NetSuite Create Entity Configuration screen, click the Request tab.
    Accepted Values:
    Click the Schema Mapping Schema Mapping icon button to open the Schema Mapper.

    Use this screen to connect the request to the data model for your process.

    Default Value:
    None
  5. Click the Response tab.
  6. To connect response data from the web service call to your process, do one of these.
    • To connect the response to your process schema, complete this field as necessary:

      Map Response to AgilePoint Schema

      Function:
      Specifies the connection from the NetSuite API response parameter to your schema.
      To Open this Field:
      On the NetSuite Create Entity Configuration screen, click the Response tab
      Accepted Values:
      Click the Schema Mapping Schema Mapping icon button to open the Schema Mapper.

      Use this screen to connect the response to the data model for your process.

      Default Value:
      None
    • To connect the response to a process data variable, complete this field as necessary:

      Store the Response in Custom Attribute

      Function:
      Specifies the process data variable that contains the record internal ID from NetSuite.
      To Open this Field:
      On the NetSuite Create Entity Configuration screen, click the Response tab
      Accepted Values:
      A process data variable that accepts a numeric string with no spaces or special characters.
